Situated on the edge of the wilderness, Haast is said to be the last frontier town in New Zealand. Haast is made up of several small settlements, with a population of around 300 people. This population can expand to well over 1000 people during whitebait fishing season and over summer. This relatively untouched area offers fantastic scenery to be enjoyed on one of the many walking tracks or unpopulated beaches. Why not make the most of your stay by getting involved in outdoor activities and sightseeing opportunities while you are here.
At Hannahs Homestead, we are happy to assist you with bookings of sightseeing tours and other attractions. Please see below some of the activities in Haast that are not to be missed!
